Kuchuk-Hagia-Sophia Mosque (Little Saint Sophia) was formerly the Christian church of Saints Sergius and Bacchus. The construction of the church took place in the first half of the 6th century AD. It is believed that this church became a kind of prototype of the Hagia Sophia (Hagia Sophia) Cathedral of Constantinople. The mosaic that was part of the original interior decoration of the Kuchuk Hagia Sophia Mosque was destroyed.
