Archaeological Museum in Turkey, Cesme resort
Rating: 7,9/10 (450 votes)  The Archaeological Museum, located in the Genoese fortress, was founded in 1965. On the opening day, the visitors saw the famous collection of weapons that were brought here from the Topkana Palace Museum. However, the high humidity of the building caused the weapon to corrode, so it was transferred to the Odemis Museum and the Izmir Archaeological Museum. Finds discovered in 1964 during archaeological excavations carried out on the territory of the ancient city of Eritrai were placed in the empty halls . Today in the museum you can see original clay objects, statues and figurines of gods, marble statues, busts, amphorae, gold and silver coins, and others historical items.
