Saklikent Gorge in Turkey, Fethiye Resort
Rating: 8,1/10 (651 votes)  Saklikent is the deepest and longest gorge in Turkey. Its depth is about 300 meters, and its length is about 18 kilometers. The difference in height between the entrance and exit from the gorge is up to 700 meters. The gorge was opened by a local shepherd about 20 years ago. Subsequently, the shepherd rented a small plot of land here and built a cafe-restaurant on the territory. The gorge is very narrow and steep, and therefore, due to the lack of sunlight, the waters of the mountain river remain icy throughout the year.
