Mehmet Pasha Mosque in Turkey, Antalya resort
Rating: 8,1/10 (189 votes)  The Makhet Pasha Mosque can be seen right behind the Clock Tower in the Kaleici area. In the 18th century, the mosque was the most important mosque in Antalya. The central dome of the building, located on a high pillar, is supported by three semi-arches on the western, southern and eastern parts of the mosque, as well as three domes on the north side of the structure. Tiled panels with Arabic inscriptions can be observed inside the building and on the windows of the northern facade. Neither the date of the construction of the mosque nor the name of the author is known. However, historians have established that the mosque was erected in the late 16th and early 17th century.
