Tower of Babylon in Egypt, Cairo resort
Rating: 9,7/10 (6197 votes)  At the very edge of Old Cairo are the ruins of a Roman fortress, which was built during the reign of Emperor Trajan. Previously, this fortress was called Babylon. Now only two towers are left of it. Right at the top of one of the towers there is a small church of St. George. According to legend, it contains the chains of a Christian saint.
