Vaino Aaltonen Museum - a museum in the city of Turku, located on the picturesque bank of the Aurajoki River. It is a collection of works sculptor Vaino Aaltonen, whose name he bears, and a collection of objects of modern art.

In 1964, the Turku City Council decided to establish the city is a museum of modern art. This idea was supported by a famous sculptor Vaino Aaltonen, who donated a significant part of his private collection to the city and own work. The building of the new museum was designed by the sculptor's son - architect Matti Aaltonen - and his wife Irma. Vaino Aaltonen received participation in the design and organization of internal space.

In addition to the works of V. Aaltonen in the museum opened in 1967 contemporary art, works by contemporary Finnish and European masters: painting, sculpture, graphics.
