It is located in the eastern part of the city and its appearance is due to the fact that during the collapse of Germany, the first Berlin zoo remained in the western part of the city. The zoo covers an area of 160 hectares, which is almost four times the size of the Berlin Zoo. In terms of area, it is one of the largest zoos in Europe. The animal composition at Friedrichifeld is fairly standard, but their elephant breeding program is of particular interest. In addition, the area is decorated with numerous sculptures of animals.
