Botanical Garden - A botanical garden in Turku, Finland, owned by the city's university. Located in the protected area of Ruissalo Island.

The Botanical Garden was founded in 1924. It was originally located in the Iso-Heikkila area, in 1956 it was moved to the Ruissalo area. One of the main tasks of the botanical garden has always been to assist in the research and teaching activities of the Faculty of Biology of the University of Turku. Along with this, the botanical garden is open to visitors.

The Turku Botanical Garden occupies an area of 24 hectares, a collection of plants consists of five thousand plants belonging to different climatic zones. More than 43 thousand people visit the botanical garden annually, 18 thousand of whom visit the garden's greenhouses. The greenhouses were built in 1998 by the architect Jarmo Saarinen.
