Purna Bhakti Pertivi Museum, known among tourists as "Museum of gifts to the president" is perhaps the most unusual of museums not only Jakarta, but the whole of Indonesia. Compared to some other museum complexes, the exhibits of Purna Bhakti Pertivi occupy only a few halls, which are located in eight small cone buildings surrounding one big. Such a non-standard appearance of the museum is apparently a tribute to traditional Indonesian architecture.
Purna Bhakti Pertivi collection in its entirety consists of gifts to the first president of Indonesia, Sukarno. Over 30 years of management the first person of the state, of course, was presented, handed over as a sign of respect and gave a huge variety of different things that accumulated over the years in presidential mansions, residences and villas. Probably because of the great love of the people for their first president, all the precious things and trinkets after the death of Sukarno were not stolen or sold, but formed an exposition museum. Antique guns, knives, swords, paintings, figurines, rings and precious stones - a list of curiosities that once determined the high status of their owner, can be continued indefinitely. All gifts are sorted by staff museum by halls, but despite this attempt to systematize the variegated collection, the exhibits of Purna Bhakti Pertivi appear brilliant, luxurious, fascinating and completely illogical series of precious life of"Brother Carnot", the impression of which will remain in everyone's memory for a long time, who visited the museum.
