Lutheran Cathedral is the main church in the Finnish city of Kotka. This is an Evangelical Lutheran cathedral, built according to the project of Joseph Stenbeck in red brick in the neo-Gothic style in 1898. The cathedral is designed for 1560 people.
The spacious building of the temple is 54 meters high and decorated with magnificent stained-glass windows, beautiful ornaments on the columns and wooden interior items with unique carvings. Organ concerts are often held here. The 44-register cathedral organ was made by Marty Portanen in the Baroque style after the model of the organ of Freieberg Cathedral in Germany, and installed in 1998 to commemorate the centenary of the church. Also, attention is drawn to the altar icon"Adoration of the Magi", created by Pekka Halonen, depicting the baby Jesus.
