Rating: 8,9/10 (6433 votes)  The Museum of Modern Art is a museum located in the Villeneuve-d'Ascque park in Lille. It presents a magnificent collection of art objects of the 20th century, which is constantly replenished with exhibits of our days. The collection has been collected through donations and gifts. The collector of the collection is art lover Roger Dutilleel. He began collecting avant-garde works in the early 1900s. Following his intuition, Dutilleel became the first collector's work in the style of cubism. He collected paintings by Picasso and Braque, which were not widely known at the time. Dutilleels were also interested in the works of Modigliani, Bouffe, Dodein (representatives of figurative art), O'Brady, Viven and Beauchamp (representatives of primitivism). Dutilleus' nephew, Jean Masurel, in the 1920s. began to collect objects of painting, supplementing the collection of his uncle. By 1979, he donated 219 paintings, sculptures and lithographs to the museum. Later, objects of abstract art, paintings in the Art-brut style were added to the collection.
