Rating: 7,8/10 (300 votes) Cemetery of the Monastery de Cimiez – a cemetery, which stands out from a number of others for its location (it is located on the top of the Simiez hill and is illuminated by the sun) and monuments of the XIX – XX centuries, reminiscent of real masterpieces of architecture: small marble chapels decorated with various sculptures. This cemetery is different from the classically gloomy necropolises. However, the main reason for the cemetery's popularity is that two famous artists are buried here: Raoul Dufy and Henri Matisse. Visitors and tourists come here to honor the memory of these people.
