Mirogoy Cemetery is one of the most beautiful cemetery parks in all of Europe. The cemetery was created in 1876 on the land that belonged to Ludevit Guy, according to the project of the architect Hermann Bolle. The most notable elements of the cemetery are the arcades along the western wall and the gate.

Rich and famous citizens of Croatia are buried in this cemetery, for example Vladimir Bakaric (politician), Oton Kucera (astronomer) , Miroslav Krleza (writer) and many others. It is also worth noting that representatives of different religions are buried in the Mirogoi cemetery: Orthodox, Catholics, Jews, Muslims, Protestants, atheists and Mormons.

The cemetery itself resembles a sculptural park.
