Two years later, the foundation was laid, and by 1614 the first arch appeared. The bridge was completed in 1632 and opened in 1659. This bridge is asymmetric; divided into segments by seven arches, the bridge reaches 220 meters in length. The openings between the pillars of the bridge, as planned by the builders, should be decorated with the faces of lions with a lush mane.
