The central nave of the basilica ends with an apse that overlooks to the courtyard of the Episcopal Palace. The columns dividing the naves were topped with capitals from earlier buildings. The walls of the temple are decorated with frescoes and canvases dated XIII – 15th century, by Falconetto, Giovanni Caroto and Paolo Farinatti. In the central nave is a 12th century octahedral font, which was created from a single piece of Veronese marble. Each facet of the font is decorated with reliefs on the Gospel stories.
