The Martin Luther Monument is a grand bronze monument, unveiled in 1868 in the city of Worms. The author of the project was a sculptor from Dresden Ernest Rietchelai. The monument is made in the form of a statue of Luther, surrounded by eleven figures of prominent figures who are opponents of the official church. The figures depict the Frenchman Walde, the Czech Hus, the Englishman Wycliffe, the Italian Savonarola, the evangelical princes Philip von Hesse and Friedrich von Sachsen, associates of Luther Melanchthon and Reuchlin. The female figures symbolize the cities of Magdeburg, Augsburg and Speyer.
