Bichishausen Fortress is located on the way from Munsingen to the Zwifalten municipality in the Reutlingen region, in the Swabian Alb mountain range. Presumably the fortress was built in the 11th century, and the first mentions of it date back to the 13th century. The most famous owner of this fortress can be called Count Ahalm Rudolph, although the exact name has not been confirmed. Unfortunately, the fortress has not undergone restoration so far and today it is a ruin consisting of a walled lower courtyard and located higher on the slope of the Upper Castle, which leads to a steep staircase. The castle has a very impressive appearance, built of gray stone, as if it was hewn out of the very rock on which it stands.
