That is why, due to its historical significance, this old part of the city was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Once in this area of Camaguey, you will feel the spirit of true medieval Spain, as every meter will be like this or otherwise associated with the historical areas of Spanish cities. The houses are arranged in a chaotic manner, so without an experienced guide, even in such a small area, you can get lost in the winding cobblestone streets, as well as in the narrow alleys connecting residential buildings. However, the general architectural style of the historical part of the city is rather eclectic, although sustained within the framework of a medieval settlement located at a sufficient distance from the main trade routes.
