Restaurant"To the last resort" – one of the oldest restaurants in Berlin, located near Alexanderplatz. For the first time in written sources, it is mentioned about the house, which took the restaurant into its walls, in 1561. This house has been operating as a restaurant since 1621. The restaurant got its present name in 1924. It has to do with legend, urban history. Next to the restaurant there was a courthouse in which two peasants were suing for a very long time and without success. But over a beer in a restaurant, they could conclude a peace agreement. According to another version, the restaurant got its name due to the proximity of the oldest cemetery in Berlin, indeed, of the last resort. The interior decoration is stylized as a rustic tavern. The restaurant itself can accommodate about 120 guests, and in the beer garden outside – 50 more people. Russian people know this restaurant from the cult film 'Seventeen Moments of Spring': it was here that the dinner of Pastor Schlag and Stirlitz took place, breaking off the 'tail'; Muller.
