Lowenbroekeller – one of the largest and most famous beer halls in Munich. The building of the pub was built in the period from 1882-1883, and the institution itself was opened in June 1883. A decade later, the pub was expanded, and towers were added on the facade. The building was fully equipped with electricity, which became a real sensation.
Until 1939, the anniversary of the 1923 beer putsch was celebrated here every year. In November 1941, Adolf Hitler delivered a 55-minute speech at Lowenbroekeller, in November 1942 he gave a speech on the Battle of Stalingrad, which he considered won at that time. By the end of World War II, the main hall of the Lowenbroeckeller beer hall was destroyed. In 1950, reconstruction was carried out. In 1955, renovations were carried out, all facades of the building and the tower were repaired. In 1986, the hall and gallery, the balcony and the stage space of the beer restaurant were completely burned down. Reconstruction was soon carried out according to the plans of the brewery architects.
