The author of the project was the architect Giorgio Massari. The church features ceiling frescoes by Tiepolo depicting episodes from the life of St. Dominic. It also houses paintings by Tinteretto, Gianbatista Piazzetto and Tiepolo. The Temple of Santa Maria del Rosario, along with other sights of Venice, has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
