The largest French Gothic cathedral located in the city of Amiens.

The cathedral was under construction for almost three centuries, but the main part of the construction was completed in 50 years. Thus, three architects have contributed to its construction.

The total height of the building is about 113 meters.

In 1981 UNESCO listed the cathedral as a World Heritage Site. In the same year, the main shrine of the city was transported to the cathedral - – a piece of the relics of John the Baptist.
