City Gate is a high-rise office building located in the Unterbilk district. Construction of the building began in 1992 and ended by 1998. The building was erected by Karl-Heitz Petzinki in the style of modernism. The building has a parallelogram shape. The main distinguishing feature is the central hall, reaching a height of 65 meters, decorated on both sides with office premises. Currently, the building houses the State Chancellery, the seat of the Prime Minister of North Rhine-Westphalia and the office center.
