Albi – it is a small town, once a village in the southwest of France.

The historic quarters of Albi are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

During the early Middle Ages this place became famous thanks to the bloody massacre of the papal throne with local heretics. These events went down in history as the Albigon Crusade. Since that time, many sights have remained in the city.

One of the main buildings of the Old City – Cathedral of Saint Cecilia – a huge temple of the early Gothic, built over several centuries. The spiers of the cathedral rise high above the roofs of low buildings and are visible from anywhere in the city.
