The mountain reaches a height of 1738 meters. Near Monte Amiata are the Upper Maremma and the Val d'Orcia. For more than two thousand years, the Amiata volcano has remained calm, however, the geysers located on the slopes of the mountain, and geothermal springs indicate that volcanic activity has not completely stopped. The slopes of the mountain are covered with pine, chestnut and beech forests. The main attractions of Monte Amiata are the Sculpture Park, Villa La Sforzesca; Renaissance and several natural areas.
