Previously, on the site of this street there was a sea strait that divided the island of Ragusa and the mainland. Later, the townspeople decided to fill it up and make a street paved with marble slabs. And since that time, Stradun has been the main street of the city where trade is carried out. The length of the street is about 300 meters. The buildings along it were built after the earthquake in 1667. The houses are designed with business premises on the lower floors and living space on the upper floors. This street is a favorite place for walking among city visitors and locals. Here you can visit boutiques, souvenir shops, cafes. Small, narrow, old streets branch off in different directions from the main street.
