Mount Sodom in Israel, Dead Sea resort
Rating: 9,0/10 (3544 votes)  Mount Sodom, in fact, is an extended hill located on the southwestern coast of the Dead Sea. Sodom is almost entirely composed of rock salt deposits. The length of the hill is about 8 000 meters, and the width – approximately 5 000 meters. There is a column on this mountain, also formed by nature from rock salt. This is the so-called `` Lot's Wife. '' The column resembles a female figure hiding under a cape. You can get here by intercity buses running between the cities of Jerusalem and Eilat.
