Museum of the composer Antonin Dvorak in the Czech Republic, Prague spa
Rating: 7,8/10 (5323 votes)  The exposition of the museum dedicated to Antonin Dvorak tells about the work, life and teaching activities of this famous composer, who is rightfully considered the founder of Czech national classical music. The museum also introduces a unique collection of documents and things that belonged to Antonin Dvorak. From May to October, the museum hosts the"Amazing Dvorak" concerts. The museum's collection contains photographs, original handwritten scores, quills and paintings. On a separate stand you can see the cloak and beret, which were presented to Dvorak at the University of Cambridge in 1891, when he was awarded an honorary doctorate. The opening of the museum took place in 1932 in the building of the Mikhnev Summer Palace, also called the Villa America. The construction of the palace was carried out in 1712-1720, according to the project of the Czech architect K.I. Dientzenhofer. The building was built in a beautiful Baroque style.
