This bridge was built in the 18th century on the site of the former Summer Palace of the Chinese Emperor. The bridge is famous for its thin and high arch. The name Yudaiqiao translates as"Jade Belt Bridge".

This bridge is the most famous of the six bridges, which are located on the western shore of Lake Kunminghu. Its construction lasted 13 years - from 1751 to 1764. The bridge is made in a style that is typical for the countryside of southern China.
