Rating: 8,3/10 (2564 votes)  Botanical Garden in Brno is located on an area of 27 acres. The Brno Botanical Garden is the most significant garden of its kind in Central Europe in the 20th century. The garden was established in 1967. The garden was designed by Ivar Otruba, thanks to which lawns with the correct flower beds were made, on which grew hybrid tea roses, selected in the same range, small areas with daylilies, prairie vegetation, ornamental bows, lilies and herbs in the style of American romanticism. The most intriguing design element in the Botanical Garden – an amphitheater with a miniature garden, where small alpine plants grow on pieces of tuff. The tuff was positioned on metal pillars raised to eye level. The rocky side, composed of structural stones, is divided by concrete supports, where in the intervals between them, excellent conditions are provided for the growth of a variety of mountain plants. The Botanical Garden also has an interesting collection of oaks, as well as an arboretum with exotic plants, built on a geographical basis. The famous collection of willows is of interest, which includes about 350 taxa from South America, India, Mexico, South Africa and other countries.
