Rating: 7,5/10 (100 votes)  The Botanical Garden, located in the southern part of Teplice, is today one of the most visited places in the city. The total area of the garden is about 2 hectares. The foundation of the Botanical Garden took place in early January in 2002 on the site where previously there were flower and horticultural grounds that existed here in the 19th century. The old greenhouses, which were used for wintering rare portable plants, were restored over time and soon opened to the general public. The opening of the garden became possible thanks to Maria Shterntalova in 1975. The official opening of the Botanical Garden took place in 2002, during which about 2000 species of various plants were donated to the garden. most of which came from subtropical and tropical zones, in connection with which they needed a closed room. Thanks to the staff of the park, who managed to improve the garden and built new greenhouses, this became possible. Today, such rare plant species as American Encephalartos villosus and Afrocarpus, Filipino Medinilla magnifica, grow in the Botanical Garden, Mexican Dasylirion serratifolium, as well as a variety of cacti and succulents from the F.
