According to legend, once upon a time in Guangzhou, during famine and devastation, five gods descended on five goats. Each goat had a bunch of five ears of rice in its mouth. They gave the ears of corn to the city, turned their goats into stones and disappeared. Since then, Guangzhou has become a prosperous city and received its second name – « City of goats & raquo;.
