Ozalj Castle in Croatia
Rating: 7,8/10 (7945 votes)  Ozalj Castle is a fortification fortress built on a stone cliff just above the Kupa River. The castle's fame is due to the fact that it was a joint fortress of the noble families Zrinski and Frankopan. The entire territory of the castle is overgrown with forest, and it is not so easy to see the castle from afar. The strong walls of the fortress, which are overgrown with ivy, are connected with the outside world by a wooden bridge. Now the Ozalj castle houses a small library and a museum, which is in relatively good condition.
