Ca 'Foscari Palace in Italy, Venice resort
Rating: 7,5/10 (100 votes)  Ka Palace ’ Foscari is a palace located in the Dorsoduro area on the Grand Canal. Nowadays, the palace houses the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Economics of the University of Venice. The palace was erected in 1437-1452 by the Doge Francesco Foscari. Francesco built the palace as a family home for many generations. At the same time, his demand was to demonstrate power and wealth. The palace was built in the Gothic style. A large number of arched windows give the building a unique symmetry. John Ruskin – renowned literary critic, at the time dubbed the palazzo as “the most magnificent example of 15th century Venetian Gothic architecture.” Ka Palace ’ Foscari, along with other attractions in Venice, was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
