This complex of monasteries is located on the outskirts of Beijing. Its name means Eight Great Places. It includes Buddhist temples scattered across the hills of Pingpo, Cuiwei and Lushi.

The complex includes eight temples: Lingguan Temple, Changan Temple, Sanshan and Longquan Convents, Dabe Temple, Baozhu Cave, Xiangjie Temple and Temple Zhengo.

Badacha has a very pleasant climate all year round, it is cool in summer and warm in winter. Here you can walk from one temple to another, looking at the beautiful landscapes and artfully made gazebos. Some of the trees that grow here were planted more than 600 years ago, but they are still perfectly preserved.

It is especially beautiful here in September and November, when the foliage on the trees turns red. At this time, many tourists come here to climb the mountains. A cable car connects the foot and the top of the hill, and you can go down on a sled, very similar to bobsleigh.
