The village of Kafr-Kanna is located 8 kilometers from Nazareth. According to the gospel, it was here that Jesus performed the first of his miracles – turned water into wine. In honor of this event, two churches were built in the village.

Greek Orthodox Church was built in 1556 on the site of an ancient mosque.

Franciscan Church was built in 1883 in the central part of Kafr Kann. According to legend, the church was built on the site where the house in which Joseph was betrothed to Mary was previously located. Today, right in front of the steps on the nave, you can see the inscription `` Joseph son of Tanchum '', written in Hebrew. One of the sights of the church is the bowl in which Jesus turned water into wine.

Also in the village it is worth visiting the Nathaniel Chapel, which was built in the 19th century in honor of Cana Nathaniel – a resident who speaks against Christ, but later accepted him as a son of God, and also present at Lake Tiberias, at the moment when Christ appeared to the disciples.
