The Tomb of Absalom (Yad Avshalom) is located at the foot of the Mount of Olives and is an ancient and monumental architectural structure. Roughly this tomb dates back to the 1st century BC. It is carved into the rock, and the upper part of the tomb is completed with stone blocks.
The total height of Yad Avshalom is almost 20 meters. The walls of the tomb are decorated in the Greek style with pilasters and columns. The entrance to it is located near the southeast corner. The dome of the tomb is 80 centimeters in diameter. Its main part is made of one stone block, which is approximately 4 meters high.
