Rating: 7,6/10 (200 votes) The Basilica of San Teodoro is a Roman church located at the foot of the Palatine Hill. The temple was dedicated to Theodore Amasa – Greek saint. The church was erected on the site of the former pagan temple in the 6th century, and at the end of construction it was an octagonal building. The main attractions of the church are the Florentine dome, built in 1454, the mosaic in the apse, dating from the 6th century. The outer courtyard was designed by Carlo Fontana in 1705.
