Al-Aqsa Mosque is a Muslim temple located in Jerusalem Old town. This mosque was erected on the Temple Mount in the seventieth year BC, but the original architectural structure has not survived to this day.
The Al-Aqsa mosque that we see now dates back to the 8th century. The temple has repeatedly suffered destruction during the earthquakes that often occur in these places, but it was rebuilt over and over again.
During the repeated restoration work, the internal structure of the temple was changed, and the external one was supplemented with minarets and a dome. The facade of the building has also changed over the centuries. The so-called 'lead dome' Al-Aqsa is visible from afar
