The magnitude of the personality and literary gift of Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin is unlikely to be disputed by anyone. But you can prove and once again confirm this by traveling through the Tver region and looking into places where the great Russian poet has been more than a dozen times. History of the routeA prerequisite for creating an excursion route on the Pushkin places of the Tver region arose in the XX century, but the sources of these ideas lie, of course, in the era of the poet himself. From the earliest years, the future genius of Russian literature visited Tver estates, visiting relatives and good friends. In local country estates, the 7th chapter of"Eugene Onegin" was written, as well as many textbook poems - for example,"Winter Morning". According to official documents and letters to contemporaries, over 25 years of his life, Pushkin visited local villages, Tver itself and several noble estates more than twenty times. Some of the houses where he stayed have not survived to this day, but local historians have preserved the memory of which specific villages the poet lived in, in order to include their visit to the route. The birth of the route is due to two events that happened at once. in the Tver region in 1970. With a short interval, two museums were opened in the village of Bernovo and the city of Torzhok, dedicated to the life of Pushkin in Tver. Both museums are located in the former noble estates where the poet was staying. Description and durationThe formal"circular" route may not have the traditional framework prescribed in the guidebooks for the Tver region in 1970. This was done for the convenience of tourists - so that the starting point of the excursions coincides with the final point of the route. In fact, out of 11 settlements on the route, five are key. The rest of the villages and villages are visited at the request of a specific tourist group. The total length of the so-called ring is 250 kilometers. The route begins and ends in Tver. The longest excursions and walks along the historical sites of the city are also held here. The rest of the settlements can be viewed within two or three days. After Tver there is one of the most important points of the route - the city of Staritsa. It was here that Pushkin stopped most often, it was here that he wrote most of the poetry of the unspoken"Tver" period of his work. In the estates of Staritsa, work on the 7th chapter of Eugene Onegin was completed. According to some reports, most of the days spent on the Tver land, Pushkin lived in Staritsa. It was the second village, along with the city of Torzhok, that gave life to a full-fledged excursion route in memory of the great poet. Here the central object will be the Rtishchevs' estate, where Pushkin lived for several days. Further, the path goes through the village Georgians, which has preserved many living testimonies of the poet's stay on the Tver land. From the villages, the trail of the route goes to the road to Torzhok - an old the city and the second must-see point for visiting the named Pushkin Museum. From it the road goes to the village Mitino and the small village Prutnya, on which the official route ends with the return road to Tver. AttractionsThe central attraction of Tver at the first stage of the excursion the route will become Traveling Palace, an architectural monument of the 18th century. It is associated with the name of Pushkin and other poets of the Golden Age thanks to the sister of Emperor Alexander I - Ekaterina Pavlovna, who turned the palace into a literary salon. In addition to Pushkin, another great Russian classic, Nikolai Karamzin, also visited it. In addition, there are several Pushkin monuments in Tver, which are mandatory the program of the excursion route. The village Ivanishchi and the town of Staritsa, unfortunately, have not preserved the houses where Pushkin lived and worked, but visiting these places is desirable, especially Staritsa, since the place considered the most important point of the Pushkin villages. From historical buildings you can visit Assumption Church of the 16th century and Staritsky Assumption Monastery. It is known for certain that sometimes Pushkin stayed in the houses of wealthy peasants to spend the night or wait out the bad weather. Several of these houses, where the poet supposedly stayed, have survived to this day. Another important place located in the Georgians is the Poltoratsky estate. This noble nest was the parental home of the famous Anna Kern, to whom Pushkin dedicated his legendary lines"I remember a wonderful moment ...". A tour of the small manor house can take several hours.  The Poltoratsky Estate Torzhok is famous for its Pushkin Museum, but it is located in the house of the former noble Olenin Estate. Connoisseurs of the poet's biography remember very well that it was to the daughter of the owner of the house, Alexei Olenin, that Pushkin came to matchmaking, but was refused. The classic reflected his heartfelt experiences in the personal album of Anna Olenina, writing the poem"I loved you ...". The second stop for tourists in Torzhok will be the Pozharsky Hotel. Pushkin stayed here for only a couple of days, but even this period gave rise to other ironic verses from the poet's personal correspondence. A very small settlement is known throughout the country among literary scholars and ordinary admirers of Pushkin's work. It is here that the tomb of Anna Kern is located - one of the most important muses of the poet.
