Photo and descriptionAgora (market square) in the Namazgah quarter was built during the reign of Alexander the Great. However, what has come down to us is the reconstructed buildings of the time of Marcus Aurelius, which survived after the devastating earthquake in 178 AD. In the 1920s-1940s, archaeological excavations took place here, during which Corinthian columns and capitals, the remains of three gates, many fragments of statues of Neptune and Diana, as well as hundreds of Ottoman gravestones were found.
