In April 1993, the community of the Church of the Intercession of the Virgin in Simeiz was officially registered. The construction certificate was received on June 25, 1995. On October 14, 1997, a festive service was held on the Day of the Intercession of the Theotokos, it was conducted by Priest Yevgeny Khalabuzar - the site for the construction of the temple was consecrated. Soon the foundation of the temple was laid. The foundation of the Church of the Intercession was finally poured in 2003, and the construction of the walls continued in the same year.
