In 1819, on the eve of Christmas, a document was delivered to the Zemsky Court of the city, which showed the plan of the future church. At the same time, all the documentation was completed and construction began. The local government refused to provide funds for the construction, and all the money was collected by the local population. Also, one wealthy resident of the city after his death bequeathed his vineyards and a house for the benefit of the church.

Until 1936, services were held here, people were crowned, people sang at holidays. At the entrance, poor people asked for help for the disadvantaged. In 1936, the government ordered to destroy the church and build a House of Pioneers on this site. But the Great Patriotic War soon began. During the occupation, the church was restored, services resumed.

Sudak was freed from the Nazis in 1944. The temple was not registered and there was no priest in it. This negatively affected his further fate. The temple was closed again, the windows were boarded up. Soon we remembered about the House of Pioneers and brought this idea to life. The church became a place for TV repairs and other works. Only in the 90s was the Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos transferred to the ownership of the Orthodox Church. And the services resumed again, the bells rang.

A beautiful view of this architectural masterpiece opens from the Livadian slopes. The temple was built in the classical style: four towering columns of the portico, mosaic images. Everyone, having visited these places, can appreciate the simplicity and grace of the temple.
