The Three Saints Church of Kharkov is one of the pearls of the city. The Orthodox church is located at 101 Horse Army Street. The church was built in 1907-1915. for the initiative of the chairman of the City Merchant Society G.O. Golberg on his personal plot. The temple is named in the name of Three Saints - Basil the Great, Gregory the Theologian and John Chrysostom.

In the history of the church it is said that the monastery received its name from its initiator, since G. Golberg had two brothers, Ivan and Vasily, whose names included in the name of the church. G. Golberg, devoted a lot of effort to the construction of the temple, therefore, in his memory, the Kharkovites gave the Three Saints Church another name - Golberg.

The architect and professor M. Lovtsov was the creator of the project of the Three Saints Church. The project was carried out in the form of a Moscow five-domed bell tower with a hipped roof, on the basis of a constructive solution previously produced in the St. Petersburg church of the Kiev-Pechersk courtyard. The absence of internal bearing pillars is the main feature of the structure.

The solemn laying of the Trinity Church took place in September 1906, but without M. Lovtsov's participation. The construction was supervised by arch. V. Pokrovsky, who completed the construction at the end of 1914. After that, the temple was consecrated by Metropolitan Flavian. The highly artistic interiors of the shrine are especially valuable. The painting was done by the St. Petersburg painter A. Sokolov, and the unique iconostasis of the temple was made according to the sketches of V. Pokrovsky, in Italy.

In 1923 the Church of the Three Saints was turned into a warehouse, but already in 1925 it was turned into a warehouse. the activities of the church were resumed. Today services are held in the church, and the festive ringing of bells pleases the residents of the southern part of the city across the river.

Three Saints Church is recognized as an architectural monument of Ukraine and is one of the best in Kharkov.
