Alexander Nevsky Church, which is located on the street. Academician Pavlov, is one of the attractions of the city of Kharkov. The Russian Orthodox Church was named after the holy prince - Alexander Nevsky.

The first stone church was built at Saburova Dacha in 1830. At the very beginning it was a simple small church, which by the end of the 19th century. could not accommodate all parishioners.

In 1900, the governor of the city of Kharkov sent a petition to St. Petersburg to build a new church, which he was immediately denied. But in 1904, after the repeated appeal, money was still allocated from the treasury for the construction of the temple. The construction was supervised by the Kharkiv architect M. Lovtsov, according to his own project, which he made himself.

In 1907, construction, finishing works, as well as the painting of the temple were completed. After that, the temple was consecrated by the Most Reverend Arseny, Archbishop of Kharkov, in the name of St. bl. book Alexander Nevsky. The newly created church at Saburova Dacha, according to Vladyka Arseny, ranked first among all the churches in the city. In 1920, the Soviet government closed the church, after which it was used for various services. At the end of 1990, the church began its activities again. Restoration robots were carried out in the temple for complete restoration.
