The Museum of the famous detective Sherlock Holmes is located, as you might guess, at 221-b, Baker Street. Number 221-b was assigned to the house by a special decree of the city authorities - in fact, this house is located between 237 and 241 on Baker Street. And at the time described by Arthur Conan Doyle in his stories, such an address in London did not exist at all. Later, a bank was located at this address, and a special clerk had to be hired to deal with letters addressed to Sherlock Holmes, Esq.

The four-story building, which houses the museum, is a typical house with furnished rooms in Georgian style. On the ground floor there is now a souvenir shop, on the second - the famous living room of Holmes and Watson. Museum visitors can sit in their chairs and take a souvenir photo in front of the fireplace. The rooms are furnished in strict accordance with the description given in the books about Holmes: here is a Turkish shoe with tobacco, and Holmes's desk with chemicals, and his violin. On the top floor, you can see wax figures depicting the heroes of the stories of Arthur Conan Doyle.
