Kirovka is a pedestrian street in the center of the capital of the South Urals, which is one of the main attractions of the city. The popular name of the street is Chelyabinsk Arbat.

The idea of creating your own Arbat in Chelyabinsk appeared in 2000. Part of Kirovskaya Street from Truda Street to Lenin Avenue has become a cultural monument visited by all tourists in the city. Traffic in this part of the city is closed. There are many shops, boutiques, cafes and other recreational areas scattered throughout the street. The official name of the street - Kirovka, was given in September 2004 after a competition, which was held for three months.

In the century before last, houses and shops of famous merchants were located here. Many buildings which are historical and cultural monuments have been restored. There are several objects of cultural heritage on the street - Akhmetov's mansion, the residential building of the regional executive committee, the Znamya cinema.

One of the original features of Kirovka is a huge number of bronze sculptures installed here. Some of them reflect the history of Chelyabinsk, and some are entertaining in nature. For example, the sculpture "City Gate" located at the entrance to Kirovka is a copy of the arch that a hundred years ago met the townspeople and guests at the entrance to the Resettlement Point. Nearby is the "Gorodovoy", which previously guarded order on every city street. The sculptural composition with the unusual name "Walker with a Dog" is located opposite the building of the Legislative Assembly of the Chelyabinsk Region and depicts a peasant carefully reading the decree. And next to the bas-relief to the jazzman I. Burko from the "Ural Dixieland" you can see the "Saxophonist". Looking at the store in the mirror "Fashionista", a shoe shiner next to a shoe salon, "Veteran" resting on a bench near Glory Boulevard, camels stopping at a watering hole, a boy with a bird in his palm, the figure of Tula master Lefty - all these and many other the compositions are very popular with both local residents and city guests. Kirovka street ends with a stele dedicated to the founders of Chelyabinsk.

Kirovka is a place of mass festivities on holidays, flash mobs and various actions are held here.
