The Dominican monastery was founded on this site in the XIII century. It was rebuilt several times and the current complex of buildings is made in the Baroque style. The main attraction of the monastery is the central crucifix and the wall fresco above the main altar by Paolo Veneziano.

The monastery museum contains works by masters of the Dubrovna and Venetian schools of painting of the 13th-17th centuries, including the painting by Lovro Dobrichevich `` The Baptism of Christ ''; (mid-15th century), as well as religious objects, precious jewelry and vestments of clergy.
