The title in English is Notre Dame de la Guerison. Photo and descriptionNotre Dame de la Guerizon is a beautiful church located on the road to the Val Veny valley against the backdrop of the majestic Brenia glacier. This symbol of the triumph of religion, surviving the onset of glaciers, is today only open to tourists during the summer months, but nevertheless attracts attention with its collection of promised gifts and picturesque surroundings. The temple was built in 1792 on a stone massif called "berrie", in the town of Patua, which, in fact, means "rock" or "stone". It was originally called the Vierge du Terrier, and later was dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary of Gerizon. In 1816, a small church was destroyed as a result of the inexorable advance of the Brenia glacier, only the statue of the Madonna survived - this event was considered by the locals to be a real miracle. The current church building was built in 1867 and consecrated a year later. The fame of the miraculous statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary made the temple a real place of pilgrimage. Inside the walls of the church are completely covered with crutches of people who were healed here, sacrificial offerings and vows left by believers and hoping for a miracle. Mass is regularly held in the valley in honor of Notre Dame de la Guerizon.
