Notre Dame de la Trey Cathedral is a neo-Gothic Catholic cathedral in Lille. The construction of the cathedral began in 1854. Fifty years later, the cathedral acquires the status of a basilica.
There is a statue of the Virgin Mary in the cathedral, which dates back to the 12th century. Notre Dame de la Trey Cathedral was completed as recently as 1999. Construction work was carried out at the expense of the residents of the city, collected by them. Before that, the building of the cathedral was destroyed, it was not spared during the years of the revolution. Many restoration attempts were made, only this one, initiated by the townspeople, was successfully completed. Moreover, a competition for the best restoration project was organized in the city. The attention of tourists from afar is already attracted by the 100-meter bell tower of the cathedral.
